Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (.NET / ASP.NET MVC 5)
Location: (Remote 100%) (Prefer EST / CST acceptable)

Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, .NET Framework, and SQL Server to support and enhance a legacy enterprise financial aid management system (PowerFAIDS). The role focuses on modernization efforts, transitioning legacy desktop functionality to a web-based UI, and improving student-facing portals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, .NET Framework
- Enhance legacy codebase and support modernization initiatives
- Build and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, queries, and database performance
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs
- Work on UI using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
- Perform debugging, unit testing, and release support
- Collaborate with business and technical teams for requirement analysis and delivery
Required Skills
- 5–8+ years of development experience
- Strong C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, .NET Framework
- Strong SQL Server (T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Performance Tuning)
- REST APIs integration
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery
- OOP, SDLC, unit testing experience
Preferred Skills
- DevExpress UI / Reporting
- Experience modernizing legacy .NET applications
- CI/CD, Git, Agile/Scrum
- Higher education / financial aid domain exposure
Interview Process
- Initial 30-minute video screening (ID verification required; must be on computer with audio/video)
- Technical panel interview (approx. 1.5 hours, includes whiteboarding)
- Remote onboarding & verification
- Start time: Log in at 8:45 AM, 9:00 AM official start
