SAP Cyber Security Analyst (Vulnerability Management)

As a SAP Security Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of the SAP landscape by utilizing vulnerability management tools like SecurityBridge, Onapsis, Pathlock, SAP CVA, SAP ETD. Your role will involve integrating SAP with SIEM solutions, conducting SAP ABAP code scanning, developing SAP cyber security baselines, monitoring security events, and managing security patches. You will work collaboratively with InfoSec, SAP Basis, SAP Security, SAP ABAP, and SAP Functional teams to define SAP vulnerability management processes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting regular scans and audits to identify vulnerabilities in SAP applications, databases, operating systems, and associated infrastructure
- Evaluating risks associated with vulnerabilities and assessing their impact on business operations
- Coordinating with IT and SAP teams to apply patches and remedial actions in a timely manner
- Recommending security enhancements and best practices for SAP configuration settings
- Ensuring compliance with data security and privacy regulations, and presenting vulnerability assessment reports to senior management
- Participating in incident response activities, including post-event analyses and developing preventive measures
- Collaborating with stakeholders such as SAP administrators, IT security, compliance teams, and external vendors for a unified security approach
Qualifications required for this role:
- Bachelors degree in information security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP security or related field focusing on vulnerability management and risk assessment
- Proficiency in tools and techniques for scanning and mitigating vulnerabilities in SAP environments
- Familiarity with SAP security architectures and the SAP Basis system
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred qualifications include:
- SAP Certified Technology Associate or similar certifications
- Experience with cybersecurity tools like SAP Solution Manager, SAP GRC, and third-party vulnerability assessment tools
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automating vulnerability scans and reports
