Position: Remote Vertical Farm Operations Coordinator

Location: Nagpur, India (Mandatory – applicants must currently reside in Nagpur; Initial onboarding from office; Remote work flexibility available)

📌 Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Remote Farm Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day production of our Amsterdam-based high-tech vertical farm. This role involves remote monitoring, swift problem-solving, and active coordination with on-site teams and international vendors to ensure seamless and uninterrupted operations.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

📊 Daily Monitoring

• Monitor real-time dashboards covering seeding, harvesting, robotic cranes, climate control, and irrigation systems.
• Detect anomalies and system errors, responding promptly to minimize downtime.

🛠 Troubleshooting

• Investigate disruptions in production flow and initiate resolution steps.
• Address failures in automated systems including robotics, climate, and watering infrastructure.

📝 Incident Reporting

• Maintain accurate logs of issues requiring manual intervention by on-site Maintenance teams.
• Escalate complex or unresolved technical problems to third-party vendors with clear documentation.

✅ Operational Oversight

• Ensure that critical tasks (e.g., deck cleaning) are completed before restarting operations.
• Verify completion through system dashboards or coordination with the on-ground staff.

🔧 Activity Coordination

• Support planning and remote execution of activities such as system calibration, commissioning, or updates.
• Ensure alignment with production schedules and operations timelines.

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent industry experience.
• Prior experience in production monitoring or remote system operations.
• Ability to interpret system data and act decisively under pressure.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or other industrial dashboards.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS (CloudWatch, IoT Core) also its CLI.
• Basic understanding of python commands.
• Basic understanding of linux commands.
• Excellent communication skills to manage coordination across global teams and time zones.
• Flexibility to work in alignment with European hours, including occasional weekend shifts.
• Candidates must be based in Nagpur. After an initial 3-month training period, the role offers remote working flexibility, with occasional in-person meetings required every couple of months.
