Lead Occupational Therapist

Hiring: Subject Matter Expert – Lead Occupational Therapist (Contractual)

Project: TN RIGHTS Project (World Bank Supported)

Department: Commissionerate for Welfare of Differently Abled, Govt. of Tamil Nadu

Location: Tamil Nadu (multi-district travel)

Duration: Minimum 2 Years (extendable based on performance)

Salary: Up to ₹1,25,000/month + TA/DA as per norms

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop occupational therapy training modules, manuals, videos, case studies, and digital tools.
• Design evidence-based OT protocols for ADL, IADL, vocational skills, and community rehabilitation.
• Conduct field testing, quality assurance, and module validation.
• Identify, train, and mentor master trainers (ToT) across Tamil Nadu.
• Conduct trainings for rehabilitation professionals, home care providers, and families.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, monitoring, and quality assurance support.
• Document best practices, reports, and knowledge transfer outputs.

Essential Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (UGC recognized) with valid registration.
• Minimum 8 years clinical experience in disability rehabilitation and functional improvement.
• Experience in training, curriculum/module development, and capacity building.
• Knowledge of assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and environmental modification strategies.

Preferred

• PhD / 12+ years experience.
• Government or development sector project experience.
• Publications, international certifications, Tamil language knowledge preferred.
