SQL Developer/Capital Markets/Accounting New York City, NY (Hybrid 3 Days in a week) 12+ Months Web Cam Interview $60-65/Hr on W2 or $70/Hr on 1099 we need:

• very senior (12+ years) SQL database developer with extensive experience working in capital markets/financial services environments and experience working with accounting systems or software is a huge plus.
• Candidates must develop power bi dashboards and SSRS reports.
• Candidates must have excellent communication skills/no accent to face the business.

Job description

• Fortress IT is seeking a dynamic self-starter with a proven track record in developing high-quality software.
• The Corp IT Accounting team is seeking an experienced Program Analyst with SQL experience to manage the delivery of technological solutions for key stakeholders.
• This individual will drive and manage the successful execution of key projects across the team.
• The role requires mobilizing cross-functional teams towards agreed-upon goals, showcasing key benefits, and overseeing and reporting progress on projects.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders and Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Create detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of projects.
• Conduct data analysis to support business decisions.
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases and database objects (tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, functions, etc.)
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques.
• Collaborate with application team to design and implement database schemas and structures.
• Ensure data integrity and security through proper design and implementation of database constraints and permissions.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports.
• Required to come into our NYC office 3 days a week

Qualifications/Skills:

• bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of proven experience as an SQL Developer and Business Analysis.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, SSRS, Power BI).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial data analysis.
• Experience in Infor / Lawson financials is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational, multitasking and multi-focus skills.
