Pilates Instructor (Substitute)

We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and adaptable Substitute Pilates Instructor to support our fitness team by leading classes when regular instructors are unavailable. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Pilates principles, can step confidently into existing class formats, and is committed to delivering a safe, engaging, and motivating experience for all participants. This role is essential to maintaining continuity and quality within our Pilates programming.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduled Pilates classes for individuals and groups in the absence of the regular instructor.
• Follow established class formats while adapting as needed to meet participant abilities.
• Ensure proper form, technique, and safe use of equipment at all times.
• Provide clear verbal cues and demonstrations to support participant understanding.
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and positive class environment.
• Arrive prepared and on time to ensure smooth class transitions.
• Communicate any concerns, incidents, or participant feedback to management.
• Uphold studio policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience teaching Pilates or a closely related fitness discipline.
• A valid Pilates teaching certification from an accredited organization is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English; French or bilingual abilities are an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different class levels and client needs.
• Strong professionalism, reliability, and time‑management skills.
• A passion for fitness, wellness, and supporting clients in their health journey.
