Quality Control Inspector

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure manufactured products meet engineering specifications and customer requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, reducing defects, and supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Opportunities are available on both first and second shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and finished products
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions
- Identify nonconforming material and initiate NCRs as required
- Communicate quality issues to production and leadership teams
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Recommend process improvements to reduce defects and variation
- Perform random audits to verify process compliance
- Maintain clean and organized work area in alignment with 5S standards
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment (required)
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Basic understanding of quality standards and inspection processes
- Ability to document inspection results and communicate findings effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in metal fabrication, HVAC, or heat exchanger manufacturing
- Experience working under ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
- Experience with NCR documentation and root cause analysis
- Basic computer/data entry experience (Excel, ERP systems)
