About Us

We are a growing, family-owned farm in Cranbury, NJ focused on diversified production including vegetables, livestock (chickens, pigs, and cattle), and ongoing farm infrastructure development.

We are seeking an experienced, highly capable farm worker who can step in and contribute immediately across multiple areas of the farm.

The Role

This is a skilled, hands-on role for someone who already has experience in farming, construction, or similar outdoor operations.

This is not an entry-level or training position. Candidates must be comfortable performing core farm, animal, and equipment tasks with minimal supervision from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Farm Infrastructure & Projects

• Assist with building and maintaining fencing, barns, coops, and systems
• Support irrigation setup, greenhouse assembly, and repairs
• Perform general repair and maintenance work (troubleshooting, fixing, improving)

Equipment Operation

• Safely operate tractors, skid steers, or similar equipment (preferred)
• Confidently use power tools and hand tools
• Transport materials and manage basic equipment needs

Property & Operations Support

• Maintain clean and organized barns, workspaces, and storage areas
• Support landscaping, mowing, brush clearing, and general upkeep
• Assist with material handling, deliveries, and organization

Crop Production

• Plant, cultivate, harvest, wash, and pack vegetables efficiently
• Manage weeding, irrigation, and general crop care with limited instruction
• Support greenhouse and field production activities

Livestock Care

• Independently feed, water, and monitor livestock (chickens, pigs, cattle)
• Clean and maintain coops, pens, and animal areas
• Identify and report animal health or behavior issues

Required Qualifications (Must Have)

• Prior hands-on experience in farming, agriculture, construction, landscaping, or similar field
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision
• Comfortable performing a wide range of physical outdoor tasks daily
• Experience using power tools and basic equipment safely
• Strong reliability, work ethic, and attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with livestock (chickens, pigs, cattle)
• Tractor, skid steer, or heavy equipment operation experience
• Mechanical, electrical, or handyman skills
• Experience building or repairing farm infrastructure (fencing, barns, irrigation)

Work Environment

• Outdoor work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, mud)
• Physically demanding: lifting, bending, walking, standing
• Variable schedule based on season and farm needs (some weekends required)
