Be part of Summit's Environmental Planning and Management Division as a Biologist in Lloydminster, Alberta. Lead environmental assessments and support project delivery in the energy sector. In this full-time role, you will spearhead baseline environmental assessments and participate in compliance work for various projects.
Your knowledge will enhance team capabilities as you mentor colleagues in regulatory and industry guidelines. You will conduct fieldwork and office tasks, all while contributing to the company's strong safety culture and ensuring project efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in pre-development compliance and assessment projects
- Oversee site identification for wildlife and vegetation
- Monitor project status and provide regular updates
- Deliver technical expertise for regulated assessments
- Conduct field assessments according to regulations Requirements:
- University degree in environmental science or a related field
- At least 4 years in environmental consulting or industry
- Experience with aquatic and wildlife assessments
- Understanding of Water Act submissions and related regulations
