We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production & Scheduling Manager to oversee daily production planning and execution. This role is responsible for monitoring incoming jobs, prioritizing production schedules, and optimizing workflow to meet delivery timelines.

This is a full-time, in-office position (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM).

Key Responsibilities

Production Scheduling & Planning

  • Monitor all incoming jobs daily and create a structured production schedule
  • Prioritize jobs based on deadlines, size, and efficiency (not order of arrival)
  • Maintain clear daily production lists to guide operations

Resource & Workflow Management

  • Allocate labor, equipment, and materials to optimize production efficiency
  • Identify bottlenecks and proactively plan complex jobs to prevent delays
  • Take a hands-on approach with high-priority accounts and large custom orders, closely managing their production to ensure accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery

Team Leadership

  • Lead, supervise, and support production staff and schedulers
  • Provide clear direction and maintain accountability across the team
  • Foster a productive, organized, and positive work environment

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Track production performance and adjust schedules as needed
  • Analyze KPIs and implement process improvements to increase efficiency

Customer & Internal Communication

  • Align production schedules with customer demand and delivery commitments
  • Proactively communicate risks, delays, and timeline updates across departments
  • Partner with the customer support team to ensure clear, accurate communication to customers

Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize scheduling tools to maintain accurate production data
  • Ensure schedules and production updates are consistently tracked and reported

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience required
