Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Hairstylist Assistant to support our salon. Hours are mainly on the weekends and some weekdays- hours revolve around the hairdressers bookings. Education and training provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist hairstylists during client appointments by preparing tools and products.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all salon equipment and work areas in compliance with health standards.
- Greet clients warmly, check-in appointments, and manage front desk duties including scheduling and client inquiries.
- Support with retail sales by recommending hair care products and upselling services to clients.
- Prepare styling stations for upcoming appointments and ensure all supplies are stocked.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs and ensuring a positive salon experience.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining client records and processing payments as needed.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of hair styling techniques is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
- Excellent sanitation practices to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
