THE POSITION
Step into a meaningful role as a Public Health Program Administrator with the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control. In this position, you will guide program activities that support screenings, prevention, and help for cancer survivors. You will have the opportunity to work with dedicated partners and take part in projects that improve access to care for people who need it most. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position serves as the project officer for the Pennsylvania Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (PA-BCCEDP) screening grantees. In this role, you will be managing and supporting the grantees who provide cancer screenings, follow-up testing, treatment referrals, and help for survivors across the state. As a Public Health Program Administrator, you will perform the following duties:
- Grantee Oversight: Monitor screening grantees, review performance, and support program operations
- Grant Support: Prepare grant materials, budget documents, and financial updates
- Reporting Duties: Write reports, updates, and program communications for state and federal partners
- Partnership Building: Work with grantees, healthcare providers, and community partners to support program goals
- Operational Assistance: Respond to public inquiries and provide support to maintain program continuity
- Equity Promotion: Support strategies that improve health equity for vulnerable populations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office Tuesday and Wednesday each week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
