This role requires the individual to be on site 4 days a week, in our Richmond hill office

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in talent acquisition, people management, the ability to influence without authority and build relationships at all levels. Specifically, You Will
- Be responsible for the direct supervision, coaching and development of the Talent Acquisition team members.
- Partner with business leaders to identify immediate and long-term talent needs across the organization.
- Keep current in strategic recruitment trends and identify opportunities to leverage best practices and tools.
- Provide recommendations for sourcing candidates’ strategy, marketing and assessment tools.
- Design, develop and maintain the recruitment processes for Field Retail, Facilities and Corporate Home Office. Focus on creating an exceptional Hiring Manager and candidate experience throughout the full recruitment lifecycle.
- Meet established hiring targets for internal client group(s) and provide superior client service to internal client groups as a valued-added business partner.
- Responsible for the full recruitment lifecycle; job postings, screening, interviewing and selection for senior positions as needed.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of talented active and passive individuals through proactive sourcing and on-going relationship management, utilizing social media, community partnerships and internal employee referral programs.
- Promote Staples brand in the marketplace by actively pursuing and aligning to industry groups, networks and associations and developing prospect/target lists.
- Work with HR Business Partners to identify, host and ensure company presence at networking activities/opportunities such as (virtual) career fairs, community networking and collaborating with local Universities and Colleges.
- Initiate, track, analyze, report and make recommendations with regards to Talent Acquisition metrics including cost per hire, time to fill, etc.
- Manages third-party relationships, including recruitment agencies, recruitment sites, job boards etc.
Some Of What You Need
- 5 -7 years of talent acquisition experience.
- 2 to 5 years of people management experience.
- Retail background is considered an asset.
- University Degree or Post-Secondary Education in HR, Business or relevant equivalent experience.
- Certificate/Degree in Human Resources Management is an asset.
- Strong consultative service orientation.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and management ability.
- Demonstrates strong business acumen.
- Translating business needs into actionable strategy.
- Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems, Internet sourcing methods and PeopleSoft (HRIS).
- Plans, organizes and prioritizes efficiently to effectively handle daily responsibilities.
- Coaches for results.

- Works independently and escalate issues as required.
