Nursing Supervisor/Senior Staff Nurse (India)

Job Description

A Nursing Supervisor is a senior-level registered nurse responsible for overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient care, and managing daily clinical operations within a healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Staff Supervision & Management

• Supervise and support registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and nursing assistants.
• Prepare and manage staff schedules and shift assignments.
• Monitor staff performance and conduct evaluations.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to nursing personnel.
• Address staff concerns and resolve conflicts.

2. Patient Care Oversight

• Ensure delivery of protected, high-quality patient care.
• Monitor patient care plans and clinical documentation.
• Respond to patient emergencies and complex clinical situations.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.

3. Administrative Duties

• Maintain accurate records and reports.
• Assist in policy development and implementation.
• Monitor department budgets and resource allocation.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels.

4. Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure adherence to healthcare laws, standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports.
• Promote patient safety and risk management practices.

5. Communication & Coordination

• Coordinate with physicians, department heads, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in management meetings.
• Communicate updates and policies to nursing staff.
• Address patient and family concerns.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (Master’s preferred).
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• 5+ years of clinical nursing experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
