Software Engineer, Frontend - Acuity

The Acuity Scheduling team is looking for experienced Frontend Engineers who have design experience and are motivated by the desire to create interfaces that are a pleasure to use.

Acuity Scheduling is a distinct brand and platform within the Squarespace suite of products whose mission is to help appointment-based businesses start and grow their service by allowing clients to directly schedule appointments, removing administrative burden, and giving our users more time to focus on what they love doing.

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer who is eager to apply their technical skills and is passionate about solving complex web challenges. You will play an active and important role collaborating alongside other engineers and designers to provide customer-focused experiences, with a focus on developing features and creating fulfilling user experiences.

This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office 3 days per week. You will report to the Software Engineering Manager.

You'll Get To...

• Develop new features into the Squarespace interface
• Take a lead role with other engineers and designers to provide customer-focused experiences
• Keep our product updated with the latest frontend technologies such as React and ES2016+
• Practice disciplined software engineering (e.g. automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful, readable code)
• Contribute to team and company standards
• Mentor junior team members

Who We're Looking For

• JavaScript development skills, understanding of new ES6 concepts, and proficiency in React, Angular, or other modern JS frameworks
• Experience developing large-scale application software
• Have full knowledge of the DOM, new HTML5 constructs, and CSS3
• Have experience with Single Page Application development
• Keep up-to-date with the newest technologies
• Develop features and create fulfilling user experiences
• An understanding of, and practical experience with, web application development
• A sincere commitment to creating readable and dependable code
• BS in Computer Science or related or equivalent industry experience
• 3+ years of experience

Cash Compensation Range: $110,500 - $178,250 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure in addition to base salary.
