Role Summary

Seeking a Backend Engineer to build and scale backend services for a modern, enterprise web platform that manages structured technical data, workflows, and metadata. The role focuses on developing high quality APIs, efficient data models, and backend services, with opportunities to contribute to AI assisted capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI, with

a focus on long term maintainability and reliability.

• Architect and implement robust, scalable data models and persistence layers using

SQLAlchemy, ensuring data integrity and high performance.

• Lead the effective use of PostgreSQL and Redis for data storage, caching, and

performance optimization.

• Design and integrate LLM powered and agentic AI capabilities into backend

services, including orchestration, tool usage, and workflow automation.

• Build and maintain backend APIs and services that support AI agents, model

inference, prompt pipelines, and contextual data access.

• Collaborate closely with frontend, platform, and product teams to deliver end to end

features, including AI driven experiences.

• Ensure backend and AI services meet high standards for performance, security,

scalability, reliability, and responsible AI usage.

• Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decision making,

including AI system design and integration patterns.

• Lead and participate in code reviews, promoting engineering best practices, code

quality, and knowledge sharing.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues across development, staging, and

production environments, including AI workflows.

• Drive continuous improvement of backend architecture, AI integration patterns,

development practices, and engineering standards.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in:
• Python
• FastAPI
• SQLAlchemy
• Database experience with:
• PostgreSQL
• Redis
• Experience building API driven web applications.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Preferred / Advantage Skills

• Exposure to Agentic AI concepts or AI driven backend workflows.
• Experience integrating LLM based services (e.g., embeddings, semantic search).
• Knowledge of cloud native or containerized environments.
