Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.</div>ELECTRO-MECHANICAL BUILD & TEST TECHNICIAN (STARSHIP AVIONICS)  RESPONSIBILITIES:  <ul> <li>Mechanical/electrical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis </li> <li>Build and test small electrical sub-assemblies </li> <li>Build and test optical equipment </li> <li>Support conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coating </li> <li>Run functional testing on units </li> <li>Harnesses routing onto avionics assemblies </li> <li>Support vibe and thermal development tests </li> <li>Perform HASS testing of assemblies built in the area </li> </ul> BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate </li> <li>1+ years of experience using mechanical hand tools </li> <li>1+ years of professional technician experience in electronics </li> </ul> PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:  <ul> <li>Associate degree</li> <li>Conformal coat support experience utilizing NVOC, urethane, acrylic and silicone based CC </li> <li>Experience maintaining and programming of PVA conformal coat system </li> <li>Current or past certification for NASA-STD-8739.3, IPC-610 or equivalent </li> <li>Experience preferred in fast-paced production environment with flight hardware </li> <li>Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environment </li> <li>Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills </li> <li>Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy </li> <li>Experience building electromechanical components </li> <li>Experience with thermal and vibe testing </li> <li>Experience with harness routing and integration </li> </ul> ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  <ul> <li>Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times: 1st shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM; 2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM</li> <li>Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position </li> <li>Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted </li> </ul> COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:                    Pay range:       Electro-Mechanical Build & Test Technician/Level 1: $23.00 - $27.00/hour            Electro-Mechanical Build & Test Technician/Level 2: $26.00 - $32.50/hour      Electro-Mechanical Build & Test Technician/Level 3: $31.00 - $38.00/hour             Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
