Job Title: Data Center Engineer

Location: Rue Beriault Street, Longueuil, Quebec

Compensation: $5,000 USD per month

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Data Center Engineer to support critical infrastructure operations at our Longueuil, Quebec location. The ideal candidate will have experience in data center environments and a strong understanding of hardware, networking, and logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide touch support for servers, backup systems, storage devices, and network equipment
• Perform rack and stack, installation, and decommissioning of equipment
• Conduct network cable testing, patching, and structured cabling
• Manage inventory, asset tagging/barcoding, shipping and receiving activities
• Coordinate with hardware vendors for replacements and issue resolution
• Perform visual inspections and fault isolation for third-party equipment
• Troubleshoot system and network connectivity issues using diagnostic tools
• Update and maintain incident tickets with accurate status and resolution details
• Support tape/media management, off-site storage preparation, and tracking
• Conduct annual audits of offsite tape storage vendors
• Participate in disaster recovery testing
• Provide after-hours support for critical upgrades and maintenance as required
• Provide project-based support as requested by clients

Requirements

• Experience in data center operations and equipment maintenance
• Knowledge of network infrastructure and troubleshooting methodologies
• Familiarity with inventory management and logistics procedures
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Flexibility to provide after-hours support and onsite presence within 4 hours when needed
