Windows System Administrator Consultant

Onsite IT Support and Desktop Infrastructure
Our team is seeking a Windows System Administrator Consultant to support the day to day IT operations of a stable industrial manufacturing environment in the Tillamook area.
This role is ideal for a hands-on IT professional with strong desktop support and systems administration experience who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting end users, and maintaining reliable workplace technology. The consultant will work closely with internal teams to ensure that systems, workstations, and business applications operate smoothly for both onsite and remote employees.
This engagement offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic production focused organization where IT reliability and responsive user support are essential to daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end user technical support for Windows desktops, laptops, and tablets in a corporate environment
- Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, and software issues across endpoint devices
- Deploy and configure Windows workstations using standardized system builds and software packages
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and policies using Active Directory and related tools
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and collaboration tools
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues including VPN and remote access problems
- Install and troubleshoot printers, peripherals, and workstation accessories
- Monitor system alerts and assist with identifying and resolving infrastructure issues
- Maintain documentation of troubleshooting procedures, system configurations, and support solutions
- Assist with asset tracking including endpoint devices, software licenses, and user access
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to maintain consistent service delivery and system reliability
Required Experience
- 3 or more years of experience in Windows System Administration, Desktop Support, or IT Support Engineering
- Hands on experience supporting Windows operating systems in a corporate environment
- Strong experience administering Active Directory including user accounts, permissions, and Group Policy
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and common business productivity applications
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, and remote connectivity
- Experience troubleshooting workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices
- Ability to support both onsite and remote employees effectively
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certifications such as CompTIA A Plus, Microsoft certifications, or similar IT credentials
- Experience working in manufacturing, engineering, or operational environments
- Experience with endpoint deployment or workstation imaging tools
- Familiarity with IT service management practices or structured help desk environments
