You will have the opportunity to set technical direction for a growing and critical business function within SoFi where the overall architecture is still relatively greenfield and the business impact is high. The successful candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining responsive, high-performance, and secure user interfaces and experiences (UI/UX).&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, ensuring the performance, accessibility, and reliability of our user-facing applications.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the development and testing of our systems and services</li> <li>Participate in shaping the technical architecture of the product</li> <li>Help translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions</li> <li>Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment</li> <li>Mentor other engineers, support the technical culture, and help grow the team</li> <li>Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies</li> <li>Communicate with project leads, product managers and other software developers</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field</li> <li>5+ years programming experience, ideally on a modern stack</li> <li>Our core frontend stack includes JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML5, and CSS</li> <li>3+ years experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern frontend framework like React</li> <li>A solid understanding of UI/UX principles, state management (e.g., Redux, Context API), and cross-browser compatibility</li> <li>Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs or GraphQL</li> <li>Experience working with GIT and CI/CD systems</li> <li>Effective communication skills</li> <li>Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others and get stuff done</li> <li>Solid sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completion</li> <li>Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, refining designs together, working through code reviews and managing pull requests</li> <li>View Unit and Integration test as 1st class citizen in software development (especially for UI components)</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Nice To Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience scaling highly available, mission critical systems</li> <li>Full-stack experience, particularly with back-end technologies like Java/Kotlin or cloud platforms (AWS, Kubernetes)</li> <li>Insurance Industry Experience: Familiarity with the insurance industry and its specific regulatory requirements</li> <li>Experience incorporating LLMs into user flows</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><div class="gmail_default"><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></div> <div class="gmail_default">The base pay range for this role is listed below.
