JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Project Engineer, the Port Infrastructure Project Engineer plays a key role in the management, planning, and execution of maintenance and construction projects related to port infrastructure. The incumbent actively contributes to the long-term sustainability of terminal assets by coordinating interventions with internal and external stakeholders at every stage of a project, from design to implementation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary civil engineering projects, from design through execution
  • Ensure the planning, monitoring, and delivery of projects within established budgets, timelines, and quality standards
  • Work closely with internal clients to assess needs, propose viable technical solutions, and align intervention priorities
  • Prepare tender documents, analyze bids, and participate in the selection of consultants and contractors
  • Prepare or oversee technical drawings, cost estimates, and technical validations of the work
  • Coordinate on-site work, including mobilization, progress monitoring, quality control, and management of unforeseen issues
  • Contribute to the development and updating of the infrastructure maintenance strategy and asset management program
  • Produce required technical and administrative reports for project monitoring and tracking
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards (CNESST/ASP) and current environmental regulations
  • Perform any other related duties.
