Job Description
Toronto, ON | Hybrid / Flexible Volunteer Position
Smiles Foundation is a Canadian registered charity that has impacted over 7 million lives through free dental care, oral health education, and community health programs in the Dominican Republic, Canada, and the United States.
We are currently looking for volunteers with a background or strong interest in dentistry to support our dental donations and clinic logistics initiatives.
This role is ideal for:
- Dental Assistants (CDA)
- Dental Hygienists (RDH)
- Foreign-trained Dentists
What You’ll Do
- Help organize donated dental supplies and equipment
- Assist with inventory review and categorization
- Support the preparation of shipments for our clinics in the Dominican Republic
- Communicate with dental companies and partners
- Assist with dental product identification and documentation
- Support donation tracking and logistics coordination
- Occasionally participate in warehouse volunteer days in Scarborough
Preferred Qualifications
- Dental industry experience or education
- Familiarity with dental instruments, materials, or sterilization workflows
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Interest in nonprofit healthcare or international outreach
- English proficiency required; Spanish is an asset
