Job Description

SkyPrep is a profitable and growing B2B SaaS company delivering a modern learning management system to mid-market organizations. Our mission is simple: The LMS Without the Mess.

We are looking for a UX Researcher (Product Researcher) to deeply understand our customers—who they are, how they work, and why they make decisions. This role is focused on uncovering real user needs, workflows, and motivations that directly shape what we build.

You will be responsible for generating high-quality insights about our customers and translating those insights into clear product direction.

Customer & Workflow Research

Conduct in-depth user interviews with customers and prospects

Understand how customers currently solve problems (workflows, tools, processes)

Map end-to-end user journeys and real-world use cases

Identify pain points, inefficiencies, and unmet needs

  • Uncover the why behind feature requests and customer behaviour
  • Segment users and build clear profiles of different customer types

Insight Generation & Synthesis

  • Turn qualitative research into actionable insights
  • Identify patterns across interviews, feedback, and usage behaviours
  • Clearly articulate customer problems and opportunities
  • Translate research into product recommendations and priorities
  • Create artifacts like journey maps, personas, and research summaries

Collaboration with Product & Design

  • Work closely with Product Managers to inform product strategy and roadmap
  • Partner with Designers to shape intuitive and user-centered experiences
  • Collaborate with Engineers to ensure solutions align with real user workflows
  • Support feature development by validating concepts and prototypes
  • Bring the voice of the customer into product discussions and decisions

Continuous Discovery

  • Build and maintain an ongoing research pipeline
  • Regularly engage with customers to stay close to their evolving needs
  • Leverage multiple sources of insight (interviews, feedback, session recordings, surveys)
  • Partner with Product Analysts to combine qualitative insights with quantitative data

What Success Looks Like

  • Deep, clear understanding of our customer base and their workflows
  • Product decisions grounded in real user needs—not assumptions
  • Features that align closely with how customers actually work
  • Reduced guesswork in product development
  • Strong collaboration between research, product, and design
  • Clear impact on product adoption, usability, and customer satisfaction

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years in UX Research, Product Research, or similar role (B2B SaaS preferred)
  • Strong experience conducting user interviews and qualitative research
  • Ability to synthesize complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Experience mapping workflows, journeys, and user behaviours
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Engineering
  • Curious, empathetic, and deeply interested in understanding users

Nice to Have

  • Experience in B2B or enterprise software
  • Exposure to quantitative data or working alongside product analytics teams
  • Experience influencing product strategy through research

Salary & Benefits

  • Extended health and dental coverage
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Flexible hybrid work environment
  • High ownership and direct impact on product direction
