Structural Engineer in Training

Junior / Intermediate Structural Design Engineer Location: Vancouver, BC Salary: $80,000–$100,000 (dependent on experience) A well-established structural engineering consultancy in Vancouver is seeking a Junior / Intermediate Structural Design Engineer to join its growing team. This firm offers a collaborative, fast-paced technical environment with strong mentorship and exposure to a variety of building projects.

Qualifications & Skills - ASc. or B.Eng. in Civil Engineering with a Structural major

• Registered as a P.Eng. or EIT with EGBC
• Structural design experience in concrete and wood
• Working knowledge of the BC Building Code
• Ability to accurately read and interpret drawing plans and construction documentation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills Key Responsibilities - Prepare structural designs, calculations, and analysis in accordance with applicable codes and standards
• Develop engineering drawings and documents using computer-assisted design software
• Review drawings, reports, and construction documentation to support project planning and execution
• Conduct field reviews and structural site observations
• Review shop drawings, contractor requests, and RFIs
• Coordinate with internal team members and external project stakeholders Ideal Candidate - Positive, team-oriented, and motivated by technical challenges
