About the Company:
Our client is a globally recognized leading integrator and manufacturer of high quality tooling and robotic systems. They assist in providing their clients with custom turn key robotic solutions and have prior experience working in industries such as food and beverage, aerospace, automotive and nuclear.
They are expanding their team and are looking to add an experienced Lead Hand Assembly Technician to their team.
Responsibilities
Perform hands on mechanical assembly of tools and equipment based on technical drawings
Lead and support team of assembly technicians by assigning daily tasks and communicating project requirements
Host pre job meetings to ensure project scope is understood
Confirm kitting is complete and that all required tools and parts are on site prior to commencing build
Assist technicians with daily activities ensuring installs are being done correctly
Coordinate with supervisor and parts department to order tools and materials to sites
Ensure all workers are complying with health and safety policies while on sites
Speak directly with customers to provide them with updates on project timelines
Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
Post secondary diploma and/or certificate in a relevant field (i.e. mechanical engineering or Millwright)
Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience working in a team lead or supervisory type role
Prior working experience directly in the nuclear industry is considered to be a strong asset
Must possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
Possess strong mechanical expertise
Prior experience operating a variety of hand and power tools
