- SITURA INC., established in 1996, is a global leader in manufacturing waterproof expansion joints for roofing and waterproofing applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to President
- Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare basic financial reports (e.g., ledgers, summaries)
- Assist with GST/HST tracking and filings
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field
- 2 years + of bookkeeping or accounting experience (co-op/internship considered an asset)
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop accounting software – A MUST
- Basic understanding of Canadian accounting principles and GST/HST, EHT, PST and WSIB
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred Assets
- Working toward a designation such as CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant)
- Knowledge of cloud-based accounting tools
Compensation
- Hourly rate starts from $26.00 per hour
- Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday) 3-day part time position potentially leading to full-time position
