Job Summary
The Employee Relations Officer is responsible for fostering a positive work environment by managing employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and promoting effective communication between employees and management. This role plays a key part in maintaining workplace harmony, addressing grievances, and supporting organizational policies and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues
- Address the employee grievances within time frame in co-ordination with the respective officers and managers
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and labor laws
- Support conflict resolution through mediation and problem-solving strategies
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and documentation
- Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve retention strategies
- Support performance management processes and disciplinary actions
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to promote a positive workplace culture
- Develop trust and strong relation between employee and employer
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 10–15 years of experience in employee relations or HR roles
- Knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office
