Blockchain Developer Job Description ( 2 Roles - JC, NJ; Tampa, FL;)

Role Overview

Design, develop, and implement distributed ledger solutions to modernize post-trade financial infrastructure, including clearing, settlement, and asset servicing systems. Work within high-throughput, regulated environments to enhance transparency, resilience, and efficiency using blockchain technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain blockchain-based applications for financial market infrastructure.

Design smart contracts and distributed ledger solutions using platforms like Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, or Ethereum.

Collaborate with product managers, architects, and operations teams to modernize clearing and settlement systems.

Integrate blockchain solutions with existing enterprise systems and legacy infrastructure.

Ensure security, scalability, and performance of distributed systems.

Participate in system design, code reviews, and architecture discussions.

Contribute to cloud-native deployments using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Implement data privacy and permissioning models in enterprise blockchain networks.

Support testing, debugging, and production deployment of DLT applications.

Required Skills

Strong programming experience in Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

Hands-on experience with blockchain frameworks:

o Hyperledger Fabric

o R3 Corda

o Ethereum / Solidity

Understanding of distributed systems and consensus mechanisms.

Experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and system integration.

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of cryptography fundamentals (hashing, digital signatures).

Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial services, capital markets, or fintech.

Understanding of clearing, settlement, and trade lifecycle.

Exposure to DTCC initiatives like Project Ion.

Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.

Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, messaging systems).
