Summary This position drives demand for Ag Innovation services and ensures customer satisfaction and positive user experiences for a predetermined territory, helping Simplot be a leader in equipment and digital technology for production agriculture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Territory Sales Lead
Work closely with sales representatives to deliver appropriate Ag Innovation solutions to farm customers in territory.
Partner with the Ag Innovation Manager and Ag Innovation Senior Lead to develop, improve, and refine existing Ag Innovation services and evaluate opportunities for new service offerings.
Support promotion and training for Ag Innovation services to farmers and sales representatives.
Continuously expand knowledge of Ag Innovation and industry technology.
Integrate Ag Innovation services into annual customer plans.
Participate in sales representatives planning meetings about key customers.
Assist the sales process by ensuring sellers gather necessary information during customer discovery.
Develop a 3‑6 month action plan with support from the Ag Innovation Manager.
Field Moisture Service Support
Execute consultations, data entry, and administration for Field Moisture Service within territory.
Conduct installations, technical support, maintenance, and removals of equipment for Field Moisture Service.
SprayConnect Service Support
Execute administration and preparation on SprayConnect projects for customers in territory.
Work with sales representatives to conduct ground truthing, prescription loading, and technical support for customers.
SoilConnect Service Support
Assist with all SoilConnect soil sampling procedures as required.
Conduct ground truthing, SWAT mapping, and data preparation.
Consult and plan SoilConnect projects with sales representatives.
Execute prescription loading, technical support, and data processing with sales representatives.
Carry out in‑season agronomic evaluations (Learning Blocks) and field monitoring.
Agronomy and Sales Support
Continuously develop expertise in agronomy.
Attend training sessions in agronomy and sales.
Support agronomy and sales functions as needed, including products and services beyond Ag Innovation.
Assist research and trialing initiatives related to Ag Innovation.
Data and Digital Tools Support
Support development of hardware, software, and data tools for sales representatives as requested by the Ag Innovation Manager.
Industry Liaison
Establish and maintain strong relationships and an extensive industry network.
Communicate with designated representatives for manufacturers and distributors.
Keep up‑to‑date on new products and updates for chemicals, fertilizers, and seeds.
Maintain knowledge of key industry personnel and competitors.
Simplot Grower Solutions Member
Actively support and contribute to the communities we serve.
Maintain a positive attitude in the workplace.
Keep confidential all customer, staff, supplier, and Simplot business information.
Familiarize with and uphold the Simplot employee handbook and annual updates.
Assist with special projects as required.

Expectations In Addition To Roles And Responsibilities
Establish Ag Innovation Services as a differentiator for Simplot over other crop input retailers, private agrologists, and equipment companies.
Regularly update corporate competency in technology areas needed for growth with the Ag Innovation Manager.
Maintain excellent working relationships with the Ag Innovation Senior Lead and sales representatives.
Align with the evolving culture defined by the Ag Innovation Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Agriculture.
Minimum 1–2 years of agronomy experience.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Knowledge of application equipment and willingness to network with industry experts (e.g., John Deere, Case IH).
Knowledge of West Central Saskatchewan production practices.
Physical Demands
Manual dexterity required to use a desktop computer and peripherals.
Agri‑industry hours may require overtime.
Work Environment
Indoor and outdoor settings.
Interaction with upper and middle management, employees, and customers.
Repetitive work tasks.
Travel Required: Less than 10%.
