Position Overview
Client is seeking a GCP Platform Engineer to support and evolve a large‑scale Google Cloud Platform environment. This is a hands‑on platform engineering role focused on building, operating, and maintaining shared cloud infrastructure that application and service teams depend on.
The ideal candidate is a platform‑minded engineer who takes ownership of cloud foundations—networking, identity, infrastructure as code, and deployment pipelines—ensuring reliability, security, and operational excellence across multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and operate the GCP platform foundation, including infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD enablement, and operational support.
- Manage and support CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
- Use Terraform as the source of truth to provision, manage, and evolve GCP infrastructure.
- Design, maintain, and execute operational runbooks.
- Operate and support core GCP services across compute, networking, storage, and identity.
- Support event‑driven and messaging architectures.
- Act as an escalation point for platform‑level issues.
- Partner with security and compliance stakeholders.
- Enable application teams with stable, scalable platform capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands‑on experience with Terraform.
- Deep understanding of GCP (Org, Folders, Projects, IAM, Networking, Compute, Storage).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
- Experience operating production GCP environments.
