Job Description
Dental Hygienist (RDH)A highly skilled, compassionate, and patient-focused Dental Hygienist (RDH) is needed to join the team and provide exceptional preventive and therapeutic oral healthcare services to patients. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough oral assessments, including reviewing medical and dental histories and examining oral tissues for signs of disease.
- Conduct dental prophylaxis, including scaling, polishing, and root planning to remove plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth and below the gumline.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to prevent tooth decay.
- Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene techniques (brushing, flossing), dietary recommendations for oral health, and the importance of regular dental checkups.
- Perform oral cancer screenings and identify any abnormalities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation, charting findings and treatments accurately.
- Collaborate with the dental team, including dentists and dental assistants, to develop and implement comprehensive patient treatment plans.
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures as needed.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and sterile environment in the dental office, following infection control and safety procedures (OSHA and HIPAA standards).
- Manage the patient recall system and schedule appointments for follow-up care.
- Stay updated on the latest dental hygiene techniques, technologies, and best practices through continuing education.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).
- Associate degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program; Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
- Experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, terminology, and periodontal disease management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and interact with patients and the dental team.
- Proficiency in using dental software and technology (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
- Exceptional manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Current CPR certification.
- Familiarity with state-specific regulations governing dental hygienist scope of practice.
- Commitment to patient care, confidentiality, and ethical practice.

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
