Software Engineer-Mid Level

The Software Engineer SME will serve as a Technical Expert, providing advanced support and leadership in the development and maintenance of enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX).
• Support multiple mission-critical systems across various business domains, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure optimal system performance, usability, and alignment with agency objectives.
• Provide technical mentorship, lead troubleshooting efforts, and contribute to key architectural decisions.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.
• Proven ability to work across multiple projects and engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working within Agile environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing scalable, user-friendly, and secure applications.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience with RESTful Web Services, Single Sign-On (SSO), and security best practices.
• Deep expertise in Oracle APEX 20.x or higher, PL/SQL, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
• 5-7+ years of experience developing applications in complex, enterprise environments, with significant focus on Oracle APEX solutions.
