As a Lead Software Test Infrastructure Development Engineer at Silicon Patterns, you will play a crucial role in architecting and building the next-generation test automation infrastructure for validating LiDAR firmware, perception software, and embedded automotive platforms. Your responsibilities will include:

Role Overview:

In this role, you will lead the design of scalable, high-performance test frameworks to ensure end-to-end software quality, traceability, and compliance with automotive safety standards. You will collaborate closely with various teams to deliver robust validation systems for cutting-edge autonomous technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build scalable Python/C++ based automation frameworks for validating embedded LiDAR firmware and perception systems.
  • Develop infrastructure for fully automated end-to-end testing with traceability from requirements to defect tracking.
  • Implement frameworks supporting large-scale regression, functional, performance, and security testing.
  • Develop automated validation pipelines for embedded devices and distributed automotive systems.
  • Enable testing across Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), simulators, and physical testbeds.
  • Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
  • Mentor and guide a team of engineers in developing automation tools and test cases.
  • Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and define best practices for automation development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies and translate product requirements into validation frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive safety and regulatory standards such as ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, and ASPICE.

Qualifications Required:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 812 years of experience in embedded software testing or validation infrastructure
  • Strong programming expertise in Python and C++
  • Experience in developing automation frameworks for embedded systems
  • Strong understanding of Embedded Linux environments
