Senior NOC Engineer

• *Sify IP NOC – Job Description**

Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, Firewall, TACACS+, DNS and Transport equipment

Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations

Providing Level-3 support for infra/customer fault or incidents

Implement and manage security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team

Installing, configuring and supporting domestic, international peers and IP-transit

International POP management

Change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure

Maximise network performance through KPI monitoring and troubleshooting,

Investigating faults in network and periodic audit

Capacity planning and management

OEM coordination

Knowledge in P-to-P WAN circuits, BERT, SDH, DWDM and MPLS-TP

Installing, managing and supporting large scale metro networks

• *Mandate Technical skills**

Routing protocols OSPF, ISIS, MPLS , EVPN and BGP

Switching protocols – MSTP, VTP, Stacking concept, VSS, DTP and QinQ

Security – Firewall, TACACS+, Network controls, DDOS protection

Tools – Backup depository, NMS, Syslog, SLA based performance tools.
