We are looking for an experienced Commercial Project Manager for GT-PR in Thane, Kalwa - Mumbai. This role combines financial leadership, strong governance, and people management across a significant project portfolio.

As a Commercial Project Manager at Siemens Energy India Limited, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the successful execution of large, strategic CAPEX investments that support India’s energy transition.
Co-owning complex investment programs alongside the Project Manager, this role sits at the intersection of commercial governance, financial integrity, and execution excellence. You will be a trusted advisor to senior leadership, enabling informed decisions, safeguarding value, and steering projects from investment approval to operational readiness—on time, on budget, and with full compliance.
This is not a back-office finance role. It is a front-line leadership position for professionals who want direct ownership, executive exposure, and the opportunity to influence how large-scale, future-oriented infrastructure projects are delivered within Siemens Energy India Limited.
As a Commercial project manager, you will Co-own the project/s along-with Project Manager. You will have primary responsibility for project controlling, collaborating with technical and financial partners in support of project execution, and related activities. You will also align with corporate departments, Regulatory authorities to enable smooth execution of the project.
What does a role need to accomplish (responsibilities)
- Commercial & Financial Ownership: Responsible for commercial aspects of Large CAPEX Project, including project cost controlling, Forecasting, and reporting of financial status of the project.
- Decision support: Co-lead the Investment plan for timely execution and support Project Manager for timely execution within approved Investment Budget.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Project Manager, Siemens Real estate Project Manager, Procurement, Corporate departments, and other stakeholders to support effective project execution.
- Project Structure Breakdown: Break-down Investment plan activities and define milestones, Quality gates, Key performance indicator measurement matrix.
- Facilitate periodic Project Reviews: As a CPM of large Investment proposal, you will be required to facilitate and present the progress to multiple stakeholders periodically to Steering Committee (STECO), Country Management and Global management.
- Supplier development & SCM Support: Be an active player in Supplier development and negotiations with suppliers for rates, scope, terms and conditions. Also, support Supply chain to ensure quality and timely Service quote submissions, support Requests for Quotes (RFQs),
- Performance Steering: Work closely with the Project management and other stakeholders to align on forecast developments of Capital expenditure, Timelines of critical milestones, communicate known deviations to Country and Global Management, develop annual budgets, manage monthly forecasts, and provide variance analysis within area of responsibility.
- Compliance, Reporting & Special Projects: Ensure accuracy of project books and records, maintain compliance with financial guidelines, Investment plan’s progress reporting to multiple stakeholders ICFR controls, and support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Problem solving approach: Ensure accuracy of project books and records, maintain compliance with financial guidelines, and support with ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Demonstrate Leadership and Managerial skills in complex structure: Ensure accuracy of project books and records, maintain compliance with financial guidelines, and support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

What You Bring (requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field (CPA, CA, CMA preferred)
- 10+ years’ experience in Finance/Accounting
- Commercial project management experience preferred (CPM Certification will be plus however not a mandatory requirement)
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and IFRS; strong skills in Asset management topic, SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in CAPEX forecasting, budgeting, monthly reporting, and variance analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to identify issues and resolve them independently and as part of a team.
