Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager specializing in Mining to lead and coordinate complex mining projects from inception to completion. This role involves overseeing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. Duties

• Lead the planning, development, and execution of mining projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry standards.
• Develop comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software to track progress and deadlines effectively.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings such as Civil 3D files to ensure accurate implementation.
• Manage project budgets, perform construction estimating, and oversee procurement processes utilizing HeavyBid or similar tools.
• Monitor construction site activities to ensure safety protocols are followed while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate seamless communication and project coordination.
• Review contracts, change orders, and scope documents to maintain clarity and control over project deliverables.
• Utilize tools like ProCore and Bluebeam for document management, reporting, and field collaboration to streamline workflows.
• Oversee project scheduling efforts by integrating Primavera P6 schedules with site activities for optimal resource allocation.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with schematics and technical specifications.

Skills

• Proven experience in construction management within the mining or heavy civil industries with a focus on large-scale projects.
• Strong proficiency in project management software including Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Civil 3D, and other construction management tools.
• Expertise in construction estimating techniques and contract administration.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
• Solid understanding of project scheduling principles and construction site safety protocols.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating teams, stakeholders, contractors, and clients at all levels.
• Knowledge of construction site experience including site logistics planning and safety compliance requirements.
