A Fire Fighting BIM Modeler creates 3D, information-rich models of fire protection systems (sprinklers, hydrants, alarms) using software like Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. They ensure compliance with standards (NFPA, IBC), perform clash detection, and generate shop drawings (LOD 300-500) for installation.
Key Responsibilities Areas
- System Modeling: Design 3D layouts for fire sprinkler systems, hydrants, standpipes, and chemical suppression systems (FM200).
- Coordination & Clash Detection: Coordinate with other disciplines (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) to prevent conflicts.
- Compliance & Standards: Adhere to NFPA, IPC, and IBC codes for fire safety regulation.
- Information Management (BIM): Add data to components for 4D/5D BIM (scheduling, cost estimation, and BOQ/BOM).
- Shop Drawings & Fabrication: Generate accurate, construction-ready shop drawings for site installation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit MEP.
- Education: ITI, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 2–5 years specializing in firefighting/plumbing systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of NFPA 13 (sprinklers), NFPA 14 (hose/standpipe), and NFPA 20 (pumps).
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
