As our Senior Manager of Pharmacy Planning & Insights, you will play a pivotal role at the intersection of data science and business strategy for Canada's largest retail pharmacy network. Reporting to the Senior Director, you will be tasked to transform vast amounts of data into a compelling narrative that drives growth, innovation, and operational excellence. Your Impact: What You Will Do Drive Business Performance: Go beyond reporting to provide proactive recommendations and model potential opportunities that will directly drive pharmacy performance and growth. Deliver Clarity Through Data: Lead the creation and enhancement of dashboards and reports that distill complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and key stakeholders. Shape Strategy with Advanced Analytics: Develop and refine models to analyse pharmacy growth and market performance, providing the insights that guide key business decisions. Lead and Mentor a Talented Team: Help coach and develop the Pharmacy Planning & Insights team, fostering a culture of analytical excellence, curiosity, and continuous improvement. Enhance Our Data Ecosystem: Collaborate with Technology and Data & Analytics teams to modernize our pharmacy data infrastructure, automate key processes, and champion data-driven decision-making across the organization. Serve as a Strategic Partner: Work closely with Health, Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Partnerships teams to validate business needs and act as a trusted advisor on all things data. Your Qualifications: What You Will Bring Required Experience & Skills: A degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Background in pharmacy with demonstrated experience with quantitative analysis will also be considered. 5+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar data-centric role. Expert proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, modeling, and analysis. Proven experience overseeing the development of dashboards and reports using solution such as PowerBI or MicroStrategy Leadership & Business Acumen: A strategic mindset with strong business acumen and the ability to connect technical solutions to real-world business value. Strong communication and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to present findings and recommendations in clear and concise manner. Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to mentor team members and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong problem-solving abilities, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach to identifying and solving business challenges. Nice-to-Have Assets: Direct experience working with large datasets and advanced analytical tools for the purpose of statistical modeling, experimental design, and/or identifying causal inference is preferred Why work at Shoppers Drug Mart?
