Urgent Hiring Senior Analyst – Compensation & Benefits (Level 2) (Workday)
Location: Chennai, India (Mandatory Work from Office)
Shift: US Night (5 Days a week)

Role Overview:
As the Senior Analyst – Compensation & Benefits (Level 2), you will support the day-to-day administration of compensation and benefits processes for US employees by handling moderately complex transactions, employee queries, data validations, and process coordination activities.
You will work across compensation and benefits workflows such as employee benefit changes, compensation updates, payroll input validations, case handling, and exception tracking. The role requires stronger system knowledge, better policy understanding, and the ability to operate with limited supervision while maintaining service accuracy and compliance.
Your mission is to improve operational consistency, strengthen employee support, and ensure compensation and benefits activities are processed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Compensation & Benefits Administration
· Compensation Transactions: Support salary component updates, one-time payment inputs, and pay-impacting transactions based on approved requests.
· Benefits Administration: Process employee enrollments, life event changes, dependent updates, and standard benefits-related transactions.
· Data Validation: Review employee records and transaction inputs before processing to prevent payroll or benefit errors.
· Case Execution: Independently handle routine and moderately complex compensation and benefits cases.
· System Accuracy: Maintain clean and accurate employee data across HR and case management systems.
2. Employee Query & Case Resolution
· Case Management: Manage compensation and benefits tickets through structured case handling and documented closure.
· Issue Investigation: Review records and supporting documents to resolve employee questions related to deductions, enrollments, and pay-impacting changes.
· Response Quality: Ensure all employee communication is accurate, timely, and aligned with policy guidance.
· Escalation Judgment: Escalate policy exceptions, system issues, and unresolved cases to senior team members where required.
· Follow-up Closure: Track open queries and ensure complete resolution within agreed service levels.
3. Data Integrity & Process Controls
· Validation Controls: Perform checks to ensure approvals, forms, and documentation are in place before processing transactions.
· Error Reduction: Identify data issues early and correct them before downstream impact.
· Audit Support: Maintain properly documented records to support audit and compliance requirements.
· Process Compliance: Ensure all activities are completed as per process guidelines and internal controls.
· Exception Handling: Flag incomplete or non-compliant transactions for review and appropriate action.
4. Benefits & Payroll Coordination
· Payroll Input Support: Coordinate pay-impacting data with payroll teams to support accurate and timely disbursement.
· Benefits Carrier Coordination Support: Support data preparation or follow-up activities linked to benefit vendors or carriers where applicable.
· Cycle Readiness: Assist in preparing data and validations for compensation cycle events, open enrollment, and related deadlines.
· Cross-Functional Support: Work with HR operations, payroll, and senior analysts to close process dependencies.
· Status Reporting: Provide updates on open requests, pending validations, and risk items.
5. Reporting & Process Improvement
· Operational Reporting: Maintain dashboards, trackers, and productivity reports for assigned processes.
· Trend Identification: Identify recurring employee issues or process gaps and highlight them for review.
· Documentation Updates: Support updates to job aids, SOPs, and training notes where process changes occur.
· Knowledge Sharing: Share learnings and support peer training on common cases and best practices.
· Continuous Improvement: Suggest opportunities to simplify repetitive tasks and improve response quality.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in compensation and benefits, payroll support, HR operations, or shared services.
· Technical Skills: Working knowledge of HR systems such as Workday and proficiency in Excel.
· Functional Knowledge: Understanding of pay-impacting transactions, employee benefits administration, and case handling.
· Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with good employee interaction capability.
· Execution Strength: Ability to manage medium-volume casework with accuracy and ownership.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
