Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer with hands-on exposure to medical diagnostic equipment. The role involves independent handling of installations, preventive maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting, and customer coordination at field locations. The candidate will also support junior engineers and ensure adherence to service quality and safety standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently handle installation, testing, and commissioning of medical diagnostic equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance and breakdown services as per AMC / CMC contract terms and SLA commitments
  • Manage assigned AMC and CMC customers, ensuring timely service delivery, contract compliance, and customer satisfaction
  • Diagnose and repair complex technical faults in X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, and CR/DR systems
  • Ensure proper calibration, configuration, and performance optimization of equipment
  • Identify opportunities to convert non-contract customers into AMC / CMC contracts by highlighting service value, uptime benefits, and preventive maintenance advantages
  • Coordinate with sales and service management teams for contract renewals, upgrades, and new AMC / CMC conversions
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, call closure reports, and customer service records
  • Interact professionally with hospital staff, radiologists, and technicians to resolve service issues
  • Guide and mentor junior/fresher service engineers during field assignments
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Travel locally and regionally across assigned territories

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Biomedical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Experience: 0-3 years of relevant experience in medical equipment service & maintenance Hands-on experience with diagnostic imaging systems (X-Ray / Ultrasound / CT / CR-DR preferred)
  • Skills:
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-analysis capability
  • Ability to handle field service operations independently
  • Good customer communication and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of service KPIs, SLAs, and documentation
  • Open to travel extensively within the assigned region
  • Familiarity with CRM or ticketing system.
  • Eagerness to learn & grow in technical support role.
