Join a dynamic team as a Category Manager supporting VCU Health Systems in a remote, on-site role based in Richmond, VA. Top Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive healthcare experience leading negotiations, solicitations, pricing agreements, and bid proposals independently.
  • Proven track record in contract preparation, redlining, processing, and maintenance in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years in sourcing and contracting functions, including negotiating terms and conditions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent project management and multitasking skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with healthcare-specific sourcing systems, such as Workday Strategic Sourcing, is preferred.
  • Certifications in procurement, legal studies, or related fields are a plus.
