Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented grant writer to join our team and drive our mission forward through compelling funding proposals. In this role, you will be responsible for researching funding opportunities, developing persuasive grant proposals, and managing the entire grant application process. Your expertise will help secure vital resources to support program development, strategic initiatives, and organizational growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact by translating our vision into compelling narratives that resonate with funders and stakeholders alike. Experience in proposal writing for community development, real estate, and community housing is wanted but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding sources, including government agencies, private foundations, and corporate donors.
• Develop clear, persuasive grant proposals that align with funder guidelines and organizational goals.
• Manage the full lifecycle of grant applications, from initial research and proposal writing to submission and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate records of all grant activities
• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary data, write technical reports, and ensure proposals accurately reflect program needs and outcomes.
• Proofread and edit proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to funder requirements while maintaining high-quality writing standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in grant proposal writing
• Strong research skills with the ability to identify suitable funding opportunities across diverse sectors.
• Excellent writing skills with a keen eye for editing, proofreading, and clarity in communication.
• Knowledge of contract management principles related to grants and partnerships.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
