The Role:

The Senior Data Security Engineer designs and implements controls to protect structured and unstructured enterprise data across on-prem and cloud environments. This role focuses on data protection, encryption, DLP and secure data lifecycle management.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• Implement and manage data classification frameworks
• Design and deploy encryption (at rest, in transit, and in use)
• Engineer DLP controls across endpoints, SaaS, cloud storage, and databases
• Secure data lakes, warehouses, and analytics platforms
• Implement tokenization, masking, and anonymization solutions
• Support regulatory compliance (PII, PHI, PCI, etc.)
• Monitor and respond to data exfiltration risks
• Partner with AI/ML teams to ensure secure data usage

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

• 6–10 years in data security or security engineering
• Strong knowledge of encryption, key management, and data lifecycle controls
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms
• Experience with DLP tooling and CASB/SSE platforms
• Familiarity with privacy and regulatory frameworks
• Experience securing AI training datasets
• Knowledge of data lineage and metadata management
• Background in database or big data engineering
