POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Customer Support Specialist to provide outstanding customer service to our valued Schwartz Brothers Bakery customers while assisting with order desk operations, logistics tracking, and accounts receivable processes. This key role involves accurate order entry, effective customer communication, invoicing, and supporting financial transactions to ensure seamless daily operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer customer service calls promptly and provide friendly, professional assistance.
- Accurately enter customer orders and verify details before processing.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of bakery products, policies, and order procedures to assist customers effectively.
- Provide customers with invoices, standing orders, statements, and order support as needed.
- Generate and distribute daily order desk reports accurately and timely.
- Track logistics for remote warehouses including lot codes and shipped quantities.
- Create weekly and bi-weekly customer statements and respond to invoicing inquiries.
- Post and reconcile accounts receivable transactions for various payment types.
- Support colleagues during breaks, vacations, and absences by providing customer service coverage.
- Participate in cross-training for all bakery order desk processes and special programs.
- Work a rotating schedule including coverage of the order desk one weekend day.
- Embody the company mission, values, and policies in all interactions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Customer service experience is required; experience in food manufacturing or bakery operations is a plus.
- Basic accounting or accounts receivable experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and order management/accounting systems is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask while meeting deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial.
- Effective communication skills in English are necessary; bilingual skills are a bonus.
- Reliable transportation is required.
