About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room Unit, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and compassionate patient care.
You will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, administer medications, and respond to emergencies. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to thrive under pressure in an urban emergency department setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in line with policies and standards of practice
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs
- Assist with medical procedures and interventions
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring appropriate interventions
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience in an urban ED
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, CTAS
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual nurses (eligible for additional incentive)
Compensation and Benefits
- Incentive: $300 per candidate (after 42 shifts completed within first 3 months)
- Additional $500 incentive for bilingual nurses (after 42 shifts completed within first 3 months)
- Onsite role in Canada
