Contract Type: Part-time Continuing (0.20 FTE)

Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $14,078 to $23,722, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Job Summary

Online Humanities Teacher - Grades 10-12

0.20 FTE continuing contract, starting September 8, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process.

Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in Humanities at the Secondary level. Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in Asynchronous Online Learning.

This is a multi-grade, multi-subject posting that requires demonstrated proficiency in online teaching as well as high school humanities.

Candidate must be fluent in Microsoft 365 and Learning Management Systems

(Brightspace). Experience with video conferencing platforms, digital organization tools, and online assessment methods is also essential.

This position will have a home base of Kootenay Discovery School in the community of Cranbrook. This is a distance learning school. The schedule for this position is flexible and still to be determined. Please note that all work will be on site.
