Industrial / Manufacturing Engineer

**Job Description**

As a Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering professional at Schaeffler India Ltd (formerly Vitesco Technologies) in Pune, Talegaon Plant, you will play a crucial role in developing processes and coordinating with internal stakeholders to successfully launch new products at the plant.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Prepare and periodically review the process development plan with various cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution.
• Budget Planning respecting the volume demands.
• Prepare manufacturing cost estimates using the COM Tool, including capacity calculations, equipment costs, and operator headcount requirements.
• Coordinate & interact with SMT Process, Testing, Logistics, Production, Quality, Purchase, Engineering, etc. for project launches.
• Conduct DFM reviews with Engineering for new projects during the design phase.
• Develop Sample build lines (A & B Sample) and execute the sample build.
• Develop Assembly equipment, SPMs, Testing equipment, Jigs, and Fixtures for new products.
• Finalize new machines/processes requirements, purchasing, coordinate with vendors, installation & commissioning.
• Prepare Process documents like PFD, PFMEA, Floor Plan Layout, Conduct capability study, Process validation, etc.
• Implement Tractability & Interlocking, Mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke), Single piece flow, SMED, etc. in the assembly line.
• Utilize Statistical analysis, Six-sigma Green belt holder (preferable), failure analysis tools, etc.
• Prepare Safe launch plans for new projects, Monitor results with the team, and close the safe launch with appropriate actions.
• Provide year-over-year Equipment/Process performance improvement (e.g., cycle time reduction, OEE improvement).

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Mechatronics) with 8 to 10 years experience.
• Minimum 6-8 years experience in the Automotive industry, preferably in Electronics product manufacturing.
