Take the next step in your career as a General Psychiatrist within Saskatchewan’s dedicated Mental Health Team. Provide critical inpatient and outpatient services alongside a progressive multidisciplinary team, with emergency after-hours call on a 1-in-7 rotation.

This role focuses on delivering high-quality psychiatric care at the Battlefords Mental Health Centre, which features 22 acute inpatient beds. You’ll typically oversee the care of 5 to 6 patients, dedicating afternoons to outpatient follow-ups. Your expertise in adult psychiatry will enhance the quality of community mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services
• Manage emergency calls in a 1-in-7 rotation
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient care
• Conduct outpatient sessions and follow-ups effectively
• Monitor the treatment progress of adult patients

Requirements

• Certification from RCPSC or related eligibility
• Must be licensed in Saskatchewan
• Experience in generalist or forensic psychiatry
• Valid driver’s license and three references
• Familiarity with Saskatchewan’s mental health legislation an asset
