IT Support Technician
Job Overview:
SAPA Transmission is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Technician to join our IT team. This role provides first-line technical support to employees across the organization and assists with maintaining and improving day-to-day IT operations.
The IT Support Technician will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues within local and Azure/O365, and Active Directory environments. They will also assist with SharePoint development and maintenance, as well as ensure the timely resolution of user requests. This position reports to the IT Manager and works closely with other members of the IT department.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 / Tier 2 help desk support for end users, including troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Support Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Assist with SharePoint development, configuration, and maintenance.
- Create, manage, and maintain user accounts, security groups, and permissions within Active Directory.
- Perform basic computer setup, deployment, and maintenance, including imaging and system updates.
- Document incidents, solutions, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff as appropriate.
- Assist with general IT projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience); help desk or technical support experience required.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, basic networking, and computer troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-service skills; able to work independently and within a team.
- Experience supporting users in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Office and manufacturing environment; must be able to lift and install equipment up to 30 lbs. with occasional walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
- Experience with the following systems is preferred but not required: Unifi, MTconnect, Dynamics 365, Brivo, Power Automate, Power BI, Microsoft Planner and Project, B2Wise, Building Automation, Copilot agent creation.
