By contributing, through their support, to the achievement of the business unit’s objectives as well as the accomplishment of the district’s goals and targets, and in accordance with Sanimax’s vision and values, the Laboratory Technician must properly perform the analysis of collected samples using the designated specialized tools and techniques. Possessing, among other things, a strong ability to learn and solid analytical skills, the incumbent will demonstrate critical thinking in interpreting the results obtained in order to ensure quality service to clients. Why Join Sanimax Competitive salary Contract position (starting immediately until the end of September) Daytime shift schedule from Monday to Friday — 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dynamic team, environment that promotes personal development Responsibilities: Ensure the application of good laboratory practices and compliance with safety rules Perform quality control tests using specialized tools (ICP, LECO, spectrometers, pH meters, etc.) Work closely on the development, implementation, and monitoring of analysis methods for food and agricultural matrices using appropriate techniques (titrimetry, centrifugation, electrometry, ELISA techniques, etc.) Ensure quality control of raw materials and finished products at the plant and/or in the laboratory Verify, document, and interpret laboratory results and prepare appropriate reports to support operations Support production in the control of various analytical instruments (NIR) Perform any other related tasks Experience, skills and knowledge: College diploma (DEC) in laboratory techniques in analytical chemistry or equivalent training Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in physico-chemical analysis Experience in the agri-food, food, or environmental field (an asset) Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel Techniques: titrimetry, electrometry, gravimetry, centrifugation, partitioning (solid/liquid), ELISA, visual color comparison Use of equipment: ICP, LECO, spectrometers, pH meter, fat extractor Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong learning ability, resourcefulness, and autonomy Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail Teamwork skills Give meaning to your career and help us make a difference: become a transformation champion!
